Capsule Collection

Crivelli's works have always fascinated me, especially the selected portrait of Mary from 1470. The painting portrays Mother Mary gazing lovingly and tenderly at her child. She not only personifies a saint but also embodies Crivelli’s ideal of beauty and serves as the focal point of a perfectly balanced composition. "Beauty ideals" continue to shape our society today. Despite generational and intellectual progress, humans tend to define beauty ideals based on external stimuli while ignoring deeper complexity. This is simply human nature. The diversity and relevance of this theme inspired my capsule collection. In my interpretation of Crivelli’s work, I wanted to depict Mary in her complex reality. She symbolizes the origin of life and love, while also carrying within her the spirit of a warrior. Printed on silk, I tell the story of her flight to Egypt. Mary leaves her homeland and travels through the desert to protect the lives of her family. She is like the courageous women, mothers, and daughters of today, who fight against senseless wars and often become victims of oppression and violence themselves.
My work is an homage to all these women. Within each one of them lies a saint, a lover, a protector, and a fighter. This fight is a fight for life—one that ultimately triumphs over destruction. Mary is a victor, the queen of the desert, who brings life to the barren land. My capsule collection was created at Lake Como, where the world’s finest silk is printed. Each piece has been sewn in Modena. For years, I have been supporting small family-run businesses in Italy, which have been producing the highest-quality craftsmanship for generations. They represent a vital part of Italy’s cultural heritage, which I'm honored to preserve and support.
